The College of Pharmacy is organizing an awareness campaign about drug interactions with the diet (warfarin interaction with vitamin K).

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammed Talaat Abbas, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, in collaboration with the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, conducted an awareness campaign on drug-diet interactions, particularly the interaction between warfarin and vitamin K.

The campaign was led by Dr. Omid Mohsen Hassan, Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, and Ms. Golden Adnan Mohammed Baqer, Head of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, with the active participation of fifth-year students.

The campaign aimed to raise health awareness among students and the university community regarding the importance of adhering to dietary guidelines for warfarin patients and the role of vitamin K in influencing drug efficacy and blood clotting levels. The campaign included the distribution of informational posters that provided a simplified explanation of drug interactions, methods of prevention, and the importance of regular medical follow-up.
