The College of Nursing Holds Graduation Photo Session and Oath-Taking Ceremony for the 2025–2026 Academic Year (Asoud Al-Rafidain Cohort)

Under the patronage and attendance of the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Sttar Salih, the College of Nursing at Kirkuk University organized the graduation photo session and oath-taking ceremony for fourth-year students (the 21st morning-study class and the 11th evening-study class), known as the Asoud Al-Rafidain Cohort. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Cultural Center Hall in Kirkuk.

The event was attended by the deans of the Colleges of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the Director General of Kirkuk Health Directorate, hospital and health sector directors, heads of departments and divisions within the Kirkuk Health Directorate, the administration of the Higher Health Institute, representatives of the Iraqi Nursing Syndicate and its Kirkuk branch, as well as faculty members and administrative and technical staff of the College of Nursing. The ceremony was marked by an atmosphere of pride and joy, celebrating the culmination of years of dedication, academic achievement, and perseverance.

On this occasion, the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, delivered a speech expressing his pride in the graduates and their academic accomplishments. He emphasized the vital role of nursing professionals in supporting the healthcare system and serving the community, wishing the graduates a successful and rewarding professional future.

The Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Star Salih, also delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and wished them continued success in their future academic and professional careers. He highlighted the important role they will play in serving society and the healthcare sector through the knowledge and skills they acquired during their years of study at the college.

He further stressed the importance of adhering to the ethical principles of the nursing profession and continuously developing scientific and practical competencies to enhance healthcare services and contribute to the service of the nation. He noted that nursing is a noble humanitarian profession that requires dedication, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the students recited the graduation oath, reaffirming their commitment to the professional and humanitarian values of the nursing profession. The event concluded in a festive atmosphere reflecting the joy of graduation and achievement, with best wishes for the graduates' future success, excellence, and meaningful contribution to society.
