The Council of the College of Nursing, University of Kirkuk, held its eighth session for the academic year 2025/2026 for both morning and evening studies

The College of Nursing Council held its eighth regular session for both the morning and evening studies for the academic year 2025–2026 on Sunday, April 19, 2026, chaired by Professor Dr. Hiwa Star Salih, Dean of the College, and attended by the members of the College Council.

The Council discussed the items on its agenda, which included the following main topics:

• Directives and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Kirkuk University.
• Outcomes of the meeting of the Deans of Colleges of Nursing in Iraq.
• Preparations for postgraduate (Master’s) examinations and final examinations for the second semester, including formative (assessment) examinations for the current academic year.
• The implementation of the Bologna Process and the Student Information System (SIS), which contributes to enhancing digital transformation and improving mechanisms for managing student data within the university. The Council also discussed defining the responsibilities assigned to each category of authorized users, as well as the latest updates regarding the collection and storage of student data, course registration, and examination grade documentation.
• National accreditation standards for nursing college programs, emphasizing adherence to the national accreditation guideline issued by the National Council for Accreditation of Nursing College Programs.
• Occupational safety measures, particularly the provision of fire extinguishers, raising staff awareness about switching off lights and electrical devices when leaving offices, and the strict prohibition of excessive electrical loads within offices and the college. It was also emphasized that individuals using these offices bear full responsibility for occupational safety in order to preserve public property.
