College of Nursing Organizes an Awareness Seminar Entitled “Health Security and Society Project”

Under the patronage of the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Star Salih, the College of Nursing organized an awareness seminar entitled “Health Security and Society Project” on Monday, March 29, 2026, in the Conference Hall of the College of Nursing.

The seminar included a lecture delivered by Lecturer Dr. Hussein Mohammed Abdul Fattah, who highlighted the importance and sustainability of health security and the means of achieving it in accordance with international standards to ensure the quality of healthcare services, as well as promoting health awareness within the community.

The seminar concluded with several recommendations, the most notable of which were:

• The necessity of establishing clear health policies, legislation, and effective management systems to regulate and monitor healthcare services.
• Providing sufficient financial resources to ensure the continuity of healthcare services without interruption.
• Adequately qualifying and training physicians, nursing staff, and healthcare personnel.
• Adopting an integrated health data collection system for the early detection of diseases and continuous case monitoring.
• Delivering high-quality preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services that are accessible to all members of society.

The seminar was attended by the Assistant Deans, Heads of Scientific Departments, a number of faculty members and staff, in addition to a large gathering of students.
