The College of Nursing, Kirkuk University organizes a celebration on the occasion of the founding of Kirkuk University on its twentieth anniversary of giving

Under the direct supervision and guidance of Professor Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh, Dean of the College of Nursing, the Deanship of the College of Nursing organized a celebration on the occasion of Kirkuk University Day, on Thursday, 11/9/2023, in the College of Nursing, where the faculty members, associates, and students participated in the celebration, which began with a speech from Professor Dr. Hewa Sattar Saleh, Dean of the College, praised the achievements of the University of Kirkuk in general and the College of Nursing in particular.
Many medical, scientific and awareness-raising activities also took place during the celebration, as the honorable Dean released the dove of peace in the Basic Sciences Branch during the opening of the above branch activities. Other activities of the branch included displaying bacterial and viral models, examining blood groups with diabetes testing, displaying puppets for the anatomy laboratory, with Making stickers and tools for the physiology laboratory,
He also presented a brochure on the cell parts of bacteria, types of culture media, and also pictures of pathogenic viruses.
And types of laboratory tools related to the microbiology laboratory, as well as a scale to measure weight and height. The activities of the maternal and newborn health nursing branch were: measuring the Apgar Score and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for newborns, measuring blood sugar, as well as artistic works (knitting, embroidery, drawing, and other types of Calligraphy ). An awareness activity was carried out by the Community Health Nursing Branch (students and teachers) about smoking and its effects, healthy nutrition, diabetes and its complications, as well as planting trees in the college garden, a questionnaire about body dysmorphic disorder, a questionnaire about personality, as well as measuring blood pressure and blood sugar.
