College of Nursing Council Holds Its Second Regular Session for the Academic Year 2026–2027 Covering Morning and Evening Studies

The Council of the College of Nursing held its second regular session for morning and evening studies for the academic year (2026–2027) on Thursday, September 24, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh (Dean of the College) and in the presence of the members of the College Council. After the Dean congratulated the teaching staff and dear students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, the Council addressed the items on its agenda for this session, which included the following main axes:

1. Directives and guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Kirkuk regarding the start of the new academic year 2026–2027.
2. The Council members discussed the second-round examinations and the supervision by the Examination Center at the College of Nursing / University of Kirkuk over conducting the evaluation examination at (College of Nursing / Al-Kitab University) / second round for the academic year 2025–2026, regarding the application of ministerial instructions and instructions of the Committee of Deans of Nursing Colleges in Iraq.
3. The College Council discussed the application of the Bologna Process and the Student Information System (SIS), which contributes to enhancing digital transformation and developing mechanisms for managing student data within the university. The Council discussed defining the tasks assigned to each category of authorized users, and clarifying the latest updates in collecting and storing student data, course registration, and documenting examination grades.
4. The Council discussed national standards for accrediting nursing college programs, where nursing colleges must follow the national guidance manual for accreditation issued by the National Council for Accreditation of Nursing College Programs and institutional accreditation at the University of Kirkuk.
5. Paying attention to occupational safety, especially providing fire extinguishers, raising employee awareness to turn off lights and devices upon leaving offices, and emphasizing a strict prohibition on using excessive electrical loads inside offices and the college, with occupants of these offices bearing full responsibility and occupational safety to preserve public property.
6. Study schedules and the mechanism of clinical training in laboratories, hospitals, and health centers.
7. Guiding students against absenteeism in theoretical and practical lessons and advising them in this regard.
8. Maintaining the cleanliness of the college and its gardens.
9. Adhering to the unified dress code.
