On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the College of Media at Kirkuk University conducted a student survey regarding the work of the university's Psychological Counseling Unit. This was accompanied by an educational campaign to raise awareness about the importance of mental well-being and promote mental health awareness within the university community.
The survey aimed to gather student opinions on the counseling services provided and their effectiveness, as well as to identify their psychological and counseling needs. This information will contribute to improving the unit's work and enhancing the quality of its services.
The Dean of the College of Media, Professor Dr. Muad Assi Ali, emphasized the importance of the educational campaign in disseminating a culture of mental health awareness and promoting the concepts of psychological support and positive coping mechanisms for stress. He noted that attention to mental health is a fundamental pillar in building a safe and balanced university environment, which contributes to enhancing students' psychological stability and supporting their academic progress.
