The College of Law and Political Science at the University of Kirkuk held a scientific workshop on the phenomenon of suicide - prevention and ways to confront it.

The workshop addressed the phenomenon of suicide that has spread widely in our societies and addressed the causes of suicide, the most important of which are the low standard of living, emotional and social reasons, and the weakness of the religious and intellectual deterrent of the person who commits suicide.

The workshop recommended the necessity of adhering to the teachings of Islamic law and holding educational workshops and seminars on the dangers of this social scourge.
