The College of Law and Political Science at Kirkuk University held a scientific symposium on: The dangers of illegal immigration and the role of law in reducing them
Explaining the reasons for illegal immigration practiced by citizens of countries around the world, especially when the reason for immigration is related to reaching developed countries and countries that are interested in providing job opportunities, especially Western countries, as well as explaining the dangers of illegal immigration due to the increase in the number of people in countries that receive illegal immigrants and the requirements it creates. A decent living for them, in addition to these illegal immigrants bearing the risk of not being accepted in those countries because they do not provide convincing reasons for illegal immigration.
The symposium recommended the necessity of activating domestic and international legislation that prevents illegal immigration and imposing deterrent penalties for illegal immigrants, such as not receiving them in the countries they entered illegally, and not granting them entry visas to the country until after a certain period of time, such as five years.
