The thesis, which was discussed in the presence of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, aimed to shed light on the legal structure of Security Council resolutions, their nature, types, and impact on international treaties, and to explain the concept of international legitimacy and the role of Security Council resolutions on legitimacy.

The thesis concluded that the Security Council resolutions find their legitimacy in the United Nations Charter and the rules of legitimacy that stipulate the necessity of the Security Council's commitment to the goals and principles of the United Nations.
