About the department

The department was established in the academic year 2013/2014 pursuant to University Order No. 7/6/9844 on August 28, 2013. The Department of Electrical Engineering is considered one of the important departments and an essential element in the process of developing society because of the services and qualifications it provides to engineers who undertake work in the various fields of electricity. In state institutions and the private sector, the department aims, in the coming years, if the staff and supplies are available, to expand studies and open postgraduate studies in the specializations of power, machines, electronics, communications, control, and computers, to be in line with the development taking place in the various fields of life and the Iraqi society’s need for these specializations.
