The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering program describe the expected accomplishments of graduates within three to five years after graduation.
PEO 1
Graduates will establish successful careers as practicing civil engineers in public agencies, private companies, consulting firms, and construction industries in areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management.
PEO 2
Graduates will apply engineering principles, modern technologies, and professional judgment to analyze, design, construct, operate, and maintain sustainable and resilient civil infrastructure systems that address societal needs.
PEO 3
Graduates will pursue advanced studies, scientific research, professional certifications, and lifelong learning opportunities to enhance their technical knowledge and professional competencies.
PEO 4
Graduates will demonstrate leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills that enable them to progress into supervisory, managerial, and leadership positions within their organizations and professions.
