The College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk Organizes a Scientific Visit for Civil Engineering Students to Ongoing Engineering Projects

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Chelang Akram Omar, and the supervision of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Taymoor Abdulmjeed Ibrahim, and several faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department organized a scientific visit for second-year students to various ongoing engineering projects within the university campus. The visit also included a tour of the "Madinti" residential complex project, aiming to enhance students' practical knowledge and familiarize them with the latest techniques used in construction and finishing works.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of a group of faculty members, where the engineers supervising the projects provided detailed explanations about the implementation stages, materials used, and the challenges faced in construction work. The visit also allowed students to observe construction site operations closely and engage directly with engineers and field experts.

The supervisors emphasized that such scientific activities aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, supporting students’ understanding of real-world civil engineering practices and better preparing them for future job market demands.
