Visit of the President of Kirkuk University to the College of Engineering on the occasion of the University Day Festival
The President of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, paid an official visit to the College of Engineering on the occasion of the University Day Festival, accompanied by a group of prominent academic figures, deans of colleges, and a number of faculty members. He was received by Prof. Dr. Jalnak Akram Omar, assistants, and heads of scientific departments. This visit comes within the framework of the university's support for student and creative activities, and to encourage engineering talents and innovations provided by the College of Engineering in its various specializations.
The President of the University and the accompanying delegation were warmly received, where everyone welcomed them and learned about the events and activities taking place within the festival. The tour began with a visit to the engineering projects exhibition, which included a large and diverse group of engineering innovations, which were created by students with the support of their professors, where they reviewed projects related to the development of sustainable energy technologies, smart solutions to engineering problems, and innovative designs for multi-purpose devices and equipment. The President of the University expressed his admiration for the high level of these projects, praising the efforts made by students and faculty members to develop their practical capabilities.
The tour also included a visit to the Fine Arts and Handicrafts Exhibition, where the University President and the accompanying delegation expressed their admiration for the creative paintings and distinguished handicrafts presented, highlighting the cultural and creative side of the students. The delegation stopped at a number of scientific workshops held on the first day of the festival, which addressed various topics in the engineering fields, where he praised the level of purposeful scientific discussions led by a number of experts and specialized professors. In a speech he delivered on this occasion, the University President praised the great efforts made by the College of Engineering in organizing this distinguished academic event, expressing his pride in the students' achievements and the innovations they present, which reflect the depth of knowledge and skills acquired by them. He stressed the university's commitment to providing all possible support to enhance these activities, pointing out the importance of the festival in discovering and refining talents, and providing a platform to showcase creativity and excellence. For her part, the Dean of the College of Engineering thanked the University President and his accompanying delegation for their visit and continuous support for the students, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and communication between the colleges to enhance the ideal academic environment that stimulates creativity. She expressed her happiness to see the college students excel in various scientific and cultural fields. The visit concluded with a tour of the scientific departments and discussion of a number of academic topics and the challenges facing students, as the university confirmed its continued efforts to advance the educational process and support student cadres.
