Iraqi classification of universities

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering obtains the highest evaluation rate among the colleges of Kirkuk University in the Iraqi classification of universities
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of the “Iraqi Classification of Universities (IRU), which was conducted by the Quality Assurance Department of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Service.” The evaluation included standards related to the institutional environment and academic programs.
Its details and weights were divided into two groups: standards for evaluating institutional performance, and standards for evaluating the performance of scientific departments. Thus, the departments of the College of Engineering at our university achieved advanced ranks at the level of Iraq, and advanced ahead of the colleges of Kirkuk University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the highest average of 58.68 within this classification. The Petroleum Engineering Department in our college also came in fourth place in this classification compared to the petroleum engineering colleges in Iraq.
