Headed by the Dean of the College and the Chairman of the Council, Prof. Dr. Respected Glink Akram Omar / Dean of the College and Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of the Council members, the College of Engineering Council held its tenth session for the academic year (2023-2024) in the College Council meeting room,. In the presence of all the esteemed members of the Council, namely:

5. A.M.D. Hussein Kamal Anwar / Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.

In addition to the presence of the rapporteurs of the scientific departments and the presence of the Director of the Quality Assurance Division (Professor Ali Ihsan Salah El-Din)
The session began with the Council President welcoming the Council members, wishing them continued success in serving the college and developing the academic process. Then, the agenda items were discussed and the necessary recommendations and decisions were taken.
The meeting began by discussing the directives of the President of the University. The Council also discussed the details and requirements for describing the academic program and course, ways to develop them, the stages of completing the writing of the final evaluation report for all academic departments, and setting a timetable for completing its writing, as well as the timings for completing writing the improvement report and the conformity report. To obtain national accreditation. The Council also discussed what was stated in the minutes of the Scientific Committee for Postgraduate Studies regarding granting a master’s degree in civil engineering, and forming a committee to discuss a master’s thesis in civil engineering as well. The requests of some students regarding postponement and reduction of tuition fees were discussed.
The Dean also directed the scientific departments to follow up on the students’ choice of uniforms and adherence to the approved colors. She also stressed the full support of our students, by providing all the necessary resources and tools. It was also directed to provide all means of support to faculty and staff to ensure that they perform their duties efficiently and achieve the highest levels in global and local classifications. In addition to relying on official books that come from the competent authorities, and ensuring their effective use to enhance the quality of education at the university. In order to provide high-quality, reliable education, the attendees discussed precise and comprehensive plans to ensure the quality of academic programs and their continuous development. This includes continuous evaluation of programs and curricula, as well as plans to be compatible with the international standards of the Bologna System and to provide the necessary improvements based on the results of the evaluation and feedback from students and faculty members. . In addition to obtaining program accreditation standards recognized at the national and international levels. All standards and requirements were discussed to ensure the implementation of programmatic accreditation, which ensures the provision of a distinguished and internationally reliable educational experience.
With this, the session concluded by making the necessary decisions and recommendations to ensure the effective progress of work and the achievement of the college’s objectives.
