Selection of the Dean of the College of Engineering at Kirkuk University to chair the follow-up committee for the evaluation exam for soil mechanics
The respected Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Celnik Akram Omar, was chosen to chair the follow-up committee for the evaluation examination for the subject of soil mechanics in universities that follow the annual system. This includes several universities, including: Kirkuk University, Baghdad University, Uruk University, Al-Mustansiriya University, Karbala University, Assyria University, Al-Israa University, Al-Maaref University University, Al-Rafidain University, Kufa University, and Al-Farabi University.
The committee's tasks are to develop a syllabus (blue print) for the soil mechanics exam, which is a directive that specifically defines the content and objectives of the exam. The committee also provides a bank of questions submitted by all professors of the subject at the above-mentioned universities, in order to facilitate the exam preparation process and ensure the availability of a variety of questions in accordance with the approved academic and educational standards.
This procedure aims to ensure the implementation of a fair and comprehensive exam that reflects the level of students and their understanding of the subject of soil mechanics, by unifying standards and providing a unified environment for evaluation in the different universities that follow the annual system.
The work of the specialized committees, headed by the heads of the deans’ committees of the relevant colleges, includes preparing a bank of questions and answers for the basic subjects covered in the evaluation exam, developing an examination map for each subject, and preparing the appropriate examination environment, while the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority is responsible for following up on the requirements for the sobriety of the evaluation tests and the mechanisms for their implementation.
