Assistant lecturer Selcuk Burhan Jihad, a lecturer in the Turkish Language Department at the Faculty of Education for Humanities, was selected as an editor of the International Journal of Middle Eastern Studies (ISSN: 1309-1557), which is an international peer-reviewed academic journal, published twice a year (June and December), since 2009, under the auspices of the Middle East Studies Association (ORSAM). The journal publishes research and studies in Turkish, English and Arabic, reflecting the diversity of content and targeting a wide academic audience. The journal's editorial board consists of academics and researchers specialized in their fields. Members are carefully selected to ensure a diversity of academic expertise from different universities, cities, regions and countries. The journal relies on a broad base of reviewers to evaluate articles sent from all branches of social sciences objectively and scientifically before preparing them for publication.
In this context, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, stressed the importance of this achievement, which enhances the academic standing of the college, as this event is evidence of the academic competence of the faculty members of the College of Education for Humanities.
