English Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohieddin, the Continuing Education Division organized a scientific symposium entitled “The method of detecting words in linguistic dictionaries and their importance for students of preliminary studies” on 3/7/2024, and it was delivered by M.M. Sumaya Ahmed Maidan. And M. M. Laila Najat Jihad.
The symposium witnessed extensive discussions on modern techniques and methods used in detecting words in linguistic dictionaries, as well as highlighting the importance of this process for primary studies students and how it affects improving students’ linguistic skills. The symposium’s activities addressed many important topics, including modern methods of detecting words and making use of them. From linguistic dictionaries, and how to analyze words, understand their meanings, and use them correctly in linguistic discourse. It is worth noting that this type of seminar contributes to enhancing awareness and knowledge in the fields of the Arabic language and enhances students’ interaction with academic subjects in educational and useful ways, as the attendees interacted greatly with the seminar, The students exchanged ideas and observations and asked many questions and inquiries about how to apply these methods in their academic studies.
