Scientific symposium on Kurdish language words from the perspective of distributional and syntactic morphology

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Muhyiddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, the Department of Kurdish Language organized a scientific symposium entitled "Kurdish language words from the perspective of distributional morphology and syntactic morphology." The symposium dealt with the analysis of words in the Kurdish language according to two main perspectives: distributional morphology, which studies the relationship between words within a sentence or context, and syntactic morphology, which focuses on the structure of words and how they are derived and formed from their roots. The lecturers touched on the importance of studying morphology in understanding and developing the structure of the Kurdish language, pointing out the challenges facing researchers in this field and ways to overcome them. The symposium also witnessed the presentation of practical examples of how to apply morphological rules in analyzing Kurdish texts, clarifying the subtle differences between distributional and syntactic morphology. In his speech, the Dean praised the importance of these scientific symposia in enhancing academic research and supporting linguistic studies that contribute to preserving and developing the Kurdish linguistic identity. He also called for continuing to hold such events that enhance linguistic awareness among students and open up to them New horizons for research and exploration in linguistics.
