Developing Scientific Research Skills in a Workshop

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences organized a workshop in the college library entitled "Scientific Research Skills and Academic Documentation Methods" as part of the college's efforts to enhance the capabilities of students and researchers in the field of preparing research according to solid academic standards. The workshop, which witnessed a wide attendance of students and researchers, addressed multiple axes including the scientific research methodology, methods of collecting and analyzing data, and mechanisms for documenting sources according to international systems, in addition to introducing the most important rules and electronic libraries that students can benefit from. The workshop also included practical training on the use of electronic indexing and searching in specialized academic databases. The Dean stressed the importance of scientific research as the main pillar for the advancement of the academic community, noting that developing research skills among students contributes to the production of solid scientific knowledge that is in line with the requirements of the era. He also stressed the need to employ the available capabilities in the college library to be a supportive environment for researchers, allowing them to access reliable sources that enrich their studies and develop their research skills.
