Academic Guidelines to Enhance Discipline and Build the Scientific Identity of History Department Students

Within the framework of the constant interest in new students and the endeavor to familiarize them with the values ​​and principles of the college, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, gave an orientation lecture to first-year students in the History Department. This lecture came under his personal sponsorship to reflect his deep educational vision and his keenness to build an aware and responsible student base. Dr. Farhad opened the lecture with words full of wisdom and eloquence, reviewing the status of science and its importance in building societies and stressing that discipline is the basis for the success of the university student, whether in behavior or academic commitment. He stressed that the college is not just a place for learning, but rather a large house that aims to build a balanced personality that combines knowledge and morals to become a model to be emulated in society. His Excellency spoke about the general directions of the college, explaining that the History Department, with its scientific responsibility towards understanding and analyzing the past, is a fundamental pillar in building cultural and national identity. He pointed out that a student in the History Department must have the spirit of an honest researcher capable of reading and analyzing events. Objectively, away from bias or emotion, Dr. Farhad stressed the importance of discipline on campus, whether in attendance or behavior, and explained that discipline does not only mean adherence to laws, but also includes adherence to academic values ​​and mutual respect between students and their professors. He stressed that the college will not hesitate to support and motivate committed students, but at the same time will take appropriate measures to ensure the achievement of a model educational environment. 

The Dean concluded his lecture by emphasizing that knowledge is the weapon of the future and that the history department student bears the task of documenting the past and understanding it deeply to be a mirror of society and a leader in the progress process. He called on students to adhere to the spirit of seriousness and diligence, reminding them that they are part of a great educational system that seeks to graduate a generation that contributes to the elevation and advancement of the nation.
