Under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohi El-Din, the doctoral thesis entitled (Fascination of the poets of the Abbasid era in the fourth century AH) was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language by the student Ayoub Jassam Muhammad in the college hall on 10-28-2024.
The thesis dealt with fascination as a beautiful rhetorical style that has an impact on the connotations of meanings throughout the context, starting from the first meaning and ending with the second meaning, in its combination of poetic topics with what these topics carry of rhetorical arts that contribute to enriching the composition of fascination, so that it is rich with beautiful, purposeful meanings to achieve the desired goal of presenting this art in the context of forming the poetic text. The thesis also aimed to demonstrate the value of fascination in the beauty of harmony between poetic topics and their rhetorical arts among poets of the Abbasid era in the fourth century AH, to call for contemplation and reflection, so that the poetic text weaves its threads with skill, cooperating in a wonderful artistic expression that contributes to exciting the recipient and pushing him to work according to the noble goal for which the poet combined these topics in one context within the poetic text.
