Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Muhyiddin, the master's thesis entitled (Geographical analysis of natural factors and their role in the spatial variation of agricultural land uses in Kirkuk District) was discussed in the Department of Geography by the student Khalil Hamid Aboush in the college hall on 10-14-2024.

This study sheds light on the spatial suitability of agricultural production, which is one of the important studies that fall within the applied studies with economic and developmental dimensions, as it works to employ all its capabilities for the purpose of reaching the best possible production and productivity, and this is done by identifying the best lands suitable for growing agricultural crops. It is clear from the study of natural factors and their role in the spatial variation of agricultural land uses in Kirkuk District that the district has all the components for the establishment and development of agriculture, as it shows a great impact on agriculture, which is dominated by the characteristic of flatness, and the lack of slope in most of its parts, as well as the climate, as it appears to be suitable for many agricultural crops with the exception of crops that depend on rainfall, due to its fluctuation from year to year, as well as during the growing season, and therefore compensation is done through irrigation, and also the soil, as it appears that most of the soils are suitable for agriculture with the exception of some areas that suffer from natural obstacles, and with regard to water resources, it appears that there are some irrigation projects, rivers, and streams, in addition to groundwater reservoirs, all of these factors lead to the result that it has all the components of agricultural production.
