Under the patronage and attendance of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohi El-Din, the Master's thesis entitled (Rejection Sensitivity and Its Relationship to Guidance Needs among Visitors to Rehabilitation Centers for the Disabled) was discussed in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences by the student Sahar Abdel Karim Mustafa in the college hall on 9/23/2024.
The message aimed to identify the level of sensitivity to rejection among the physically disabled and to identify the statistically significant differences in sensitivity to rejection according to the variables of gender and age. It also aimed to identify the level of guidance needs among the disabled according to the variables of gender and age and the nature of the correlation between sensitivity to rejection and guidance needs. The researcher prepared a scale of sensitivity to rejection and adopted the scale of guidance needs and extracted the psychometric properties represented by validity and reliability, and applied it to a sample of (100) disabled adolescents and adults. The results indicated that the sample members suffer from sensitivity to rejection. The results also showed that there were no differences in light of the variables of gender (males - females) and age of adolescents and young people in sensitivity to rejection. The results also indicated that the sample members need guidance needs and there is a positive relationship between sensitivity to rejection and guidance needs. The study also reached a set of recommendations and proposals.
