A Master's Thesis Discusses Belonging in the Poetry of Hamad Mahmoud Al-Dokhi

Under the patronage and attendance of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities, a master's thesis entitled "Belonging in the Poetry of Hamad Mahmoud Al-Dokhi" by student Aqeel Adnan Jassim was discussed in the Department of Arabic Language in the college hall on February 23, 2025.

The thesis addressed the topic of belonging in Hamad Al-Dokhi's poetry and was divided into three chapters. The first chapter addressed familial and social belonging, its types, and applied models from the poet's poetry. The second chapter addressed the concept of national belonging with applied poetic models. The third chapter addressed religious and cultural belonging. The thesis yielded positive results, most notably the need to pay attention to and study living national writers, promote their works, and highlight the cultural face of Iraq with all its components.
