On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the College of Basic Education organized a scientific seminar titled "Violence Against Women: Causes and Remedies" through the Continuing Education Division and the Human Rights Unit. The seminar was presented by Dr. Sakina Ali Karim, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, who discussed the main causes of violence against women and its negative effects on society and the family. A set of solutions and remedies to help reduce this phenomenon and promote women's rights was also proposed, in addition to discussing the role of educational institutions and the community in this context.
