A workshop entitled (Career Etiquette for University Professors)

Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the Continuing Education Division in the College of Basic Education, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a workshop entitled (Career Etiquette for University Professors) presented by (A. Prof. Dr. Sakina Ali Karim) Assistant Dean for Scientific and Teaching Affairs (Mr. Imad Khalaf Ramadan). The workshop included a detailed explanation of the art of etiquette, its history, and its positive effects on society in general. The workshop specialized in the importance of professional etiquette for a university professor, and the components of a successful university professor in serving. For the scientific, educational and cultural process and in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the university’s instructions.

The workshop touched on the general topics of etiquette, including handshakes, small talk, external appearance, and the privacy of all official and private occasions. The talk was about the importance of preserving the privacy of the teaching work and preserving his scientific and academic standing through a set of personal, social and academic components. Emphasizing keeping pace with scientific, academic and social development in a way that preserves the image of the teacher and that he is the societal elite and role model for our dear students.

The university is the factory of community leaders who create a promising future for society, and the university professor is the role model who has the primary role in caring for and supporting the basic building block of the university community, which is the student.

The workshop included important discussions by the teachers, both male and female, which contributed to enriching the workshop. It is expected that the workshop will be repeated in the near future due to its importance, according to the proposals of the participants and the vision of the esteemed administration.
