Awareness Seminar on Afforestation and Environmental Balance

On March 18, 2025, the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk held an awareness seminar titled "The Tree and Its Impact on Environmental Balance."

The lecture was delivered by faculty member in the Department of Geography, Asst. Prof. Iman Mohammed Anwar, who discussed "The Role of Trees in Maintaining Environmental Balance and Biodiversity." She presented the impact of afforestation on the environment, focusing on its relationship with air purification and its effects on biodiversity.

Ms. Safa Faisal Qader also gave a lecture on the same topic, titled "The Impact of Trees on Environmental Balance," where she highlighted the significant role trees play in reducing pollution and maintaining the survival of living organisms.

Additionally, Miss Iman Hadi Fariid delivered a lecture titled "The Importance of Green Spaces in Cities." In her presentation, she discussed how green spaces influence urban areas and emphasized their importance for health, social, and environmental aspects. She also highlighted their positive effects in reducing flood risks and improving overall quality of life.
