College of Arts Holds Memorial Ceremony for the Anniversary of the Halabja Tragedy

On March 17, 2025, the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, in collaboration with the Department of Arabic Language and the Student Activities Division, held a cultural festival and memorial ceremony to mark the anniversary of the painful Halabja tragedy, titled "Halabja, Humanity, and the Revival of Life."

The festival featured a speech by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Omar Najmuddin Injeh, as well as poetry readings by faculty members and students in remembrance of this tragic event. Additionally, a theatrical performance titled "Halabja: A Tragedy That History Will Never Forget," written and produced by the Head of the Department of Arabic Language, Prof. Dr. Kowistan Najmuddin Injeh, was presented. The event also included the display of posters, artworks, and the distribution of educational and awareness leaflets commemorating the tragedy.
