The Media Department at the College of Arts Launches the "University Sphere" Newspaper

The first issue of the University Sphere newspaper has been published by the Media Department at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk. This achievement was made possible through the journalistic efforts of students from both the morning and evening programs, with direct support from the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Omran Jamal Hassan.

To mark the occasion, a celebratory event was held, attended by the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enja, along with several faculty members and students of the department. The Dean praised this accomplishment and commended the efforts of those involved in producing the newspaper.

Dr. Turki Hassan Najm, Head of the Media Department and the Executive Supervisor of University Sphere, stated that the first issue was the result of exceptional journalistic work by the department’s students, including experienced journalists and promising young talents. The newspaper is edited by journalist and writer Firas Al-Hamadani and has received strong support and encouragement from both Prof. Omran Jamal Hassan and Prof. Omer Enja.

He added that the newspaper consists of eight pages, featuring a variety of journalistic content. While its focus remains general, it specifically highlights the university environment, from which it derives its name. Dr. Turki emphasized that the newspaper serves as a practical learning platform for students and a venue for showcasing their talents.
