The College of Arts Hosts the Festival of Love and Peace

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Omran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enja, the College of Arts/Continuing Education Division, in collaboration with the English Department, organized a festival titled "Unity in Diversity: Bonds of Love and Peace" on Monday, December 30, 2024.

The festival, held in conjunction with the celebrations of Christmas and the New Year, featured a speech by the Dean, emphasizing the beauty of diversity in the city of Kirkuk, which encompasses various ethnicities, religions, and sects, forming a microcosm of Iraq rich in cultural diversity.

The festival also included a speech by the Head of the English Department, Dr. Yousif Khorsheed Saeed, who highlighted that celebrating such occasions fosters a unique sense of harmony among the city's residents and promotes the spirit of brotherhood and coexistence in Kirkuk.

The event concluded with a theatrical performance by students from the English Department, showcasing the concept of fraternity across the different languages and dialects spoken by the people of Kirkuk.
