Discussion of a Master's Thesis at the College of Arts Regarding Abd al-Sattar Tahir Sharif

A Master’s thesis by student Shadia Nuri Ahmed Aziz, titled "Abd al-Sattar Tahir Sharif (1933-2008) and His Administrative and Cultural Role in Iraq," was defended at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk.

The thesis aimed to highlight the emergence of numerous prominent Kurdish figures who directly influenced the course of events in Iraqi history, and to shed light on Abd al-Sattar Tahir Sharif as one of these distinguished figures during the last four decades of the twentieth century.

The study concluded that Abd al-Sattar Tahir Sharif was an active academic and intellectual figure in multiple fields. His writing interests were diverse, covering historical and political subjects, psychology, and literature. Furthermore, he made effective contributions to the service of history and culture and contributed to academic education at the universities of Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, and Kirkuk.
