A faculty member at the College of Arts heads a master's thesis discussion committee at Koya University

Dr. Dilshad Omar Abdul Aziz, a faculty member in the Department of History at the College of Arts, Kirkuk University, chaired the discussion committee for the master's thesis titled "The Role of Pirmerd in Developing Kurdish Nationalist Thought During the Years 1925-1950" by researcher Soran Najmuddin at the College of Education for Human Sciences at Koya University.

The thesis aimed to highlight the positive role of Hajj Tawfiq (Pirmerd) in developing Kurdish nationalist thought through his journalistic activities and his efforts in documenting Kurdish history and preserving Kurdish heritage and folklore, as well as his efforts in reviving national Newroz celebrations and developing the Kurdish language.

The thesis concluded that the philosopher Pirmerd significantly contributed to spreading and developing Kurdish nationalist thought during that period.

The thesis was accepted with a passing grade.
