The College of Arts Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Arab Occidentalism Critique

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al_Deen Enja, the College of Arts / Continuing Education Department, in cooperation with the Department of Arabic Language, organized a scientific workshop on Sunday, January 26, 2025, titled "Critique of Arab Occidentalism."

The workshop, in which the Dean gave an introductory speech, provided an explanation of the study of Arab intellectual renaissance projects and topics of importance related to the critique of contemporary Arab occidentalism and the intellectual issues related to it within Arab societies.

The workshop, which also featured a lecture by the Assistant Dean, Prof. Dr. Sinan Abdulaziz Abdulrahim, and the Head of the Department of Arabic Language, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koyistan Najmuddin Injeh, aimed to provide a detailed explanation of the renaissance projects that undertook the task of reforming the intellectual and moral structures of contemporary Arab thought, which has its own distinct origins, practices, theories, and applications.
