A Faculty Member from the College of Arts Chairs the Scientific Session of the Citizenship and Civil State Conference of the French Institute for Studies

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Dr. DilshadOmer Abdul Aziz, a faculty member from the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, chaired the first scientific session of the Citizenship and Civil State Conference organized by the French Institute for Studies and Research, titled "Citizenship and the Civil State: Between Identity Conflicts and Human Values."

The conference, where Dr. Delshad Omar gave a speech included the presentation of four research papers in the first session based on the historical school of thought, discussing citizenship and peaceful coexistence throughout different historical periods.

The aim of the conference was to explore a highly important topic in our time, which is the relationship between citizenship, the civil state, identity conflicts, and human values. The scientific sessions of the conference sought fruitful discussions that contribute to a deeper understanding of these complex issues, and to find innovative solutions in light of the increasing challenges faced by our contemporary societies. The concept of citizenship and the civil state gains significant importance through the objectives of the conference.
