A Seminar at the College of Arts on the Role of Digital Media in Documenting Human Rights Violations

On Sunday, January 5, 2024, the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk held a scientific seminar organized by the Department of Media in collaboration with the Department of Arabic Language under the title "The Role of Digital Media in Documenting Human Rights Violations During Conflicts."

The seminar featured lectures delivered by Dr. Turki Hassan, Head of the Media Department, and Dr. Kuistan Najm Al-Deen Enja, Head of the Arabic Language Department. The speakers discussed the dual role of media as a tool in both war and peace and its significance in promoting societal peace.

The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of media in shaping societal discourse and the role of digital media in enabling individuals to easily connect with human rights organizations—whether to file complaints, seek legal support, or learn about their rights and responsibilities.
