The College of Arts Participates in a Scientific Conference in Sulaymaniyah

Faculty members from the Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, participated in the international scientific conference titled "The Identity of the Kurds: Between Challenge and Survival", which was held in the conference hall of the University of Sulaymaniyah.

Professor Dr. Dilshad Omar Abdulaziz presented a research paper at the conference entitled "The Demolition of Kirkuk Citadel: A Displaced Memory – A Documentary Study of the Cultural Cleansing Policy 1990–1998", which highlighted a major cultural and civilizational crime committed against the Kirkuk Citadel under a political decision by the government to demolish the citadel during those years.

The mentioned research was ranked first by the scientific committee of the conference.

Also participating in the conference were faculty members from the Department of History, Dr. Azad Majid and Mr. Hozan Salah Al-Din.
