Dean of the College of Arts Participates in an International Workshop on the Role of Nutrients in Enhancing Health During Fasting

The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm Al_Deen Enja, participated in the international scientific workshop titled "The Role of Nutrients (Probiotics, Vitamins, Antioxidants) in Enhancing Metabolic and Nervous Health During Fasting."

In his speech during the workshop, the dean mentioned that fasting positively affects health by enhancing the digestive system and improving its efficiency. He stated that it can help regulate blood fat and sugar levels, thus lowering blood pressure and cholesterol and improving heart health. He called for seeking the advice of specialists in order to benefit from fasting and avoid neurological disorders.

He pointed out that the daily fasting period, from dawn until sunset, provides an organized way to reorder one's relationship with food. It is an opportune moment to adopt healthy habits that can lead to improved well-being. He emphasized that fasting should be accompanied by a healthy diet and stressed the importance of avoiding unhealthy eating habits that negatively affect health.
