Dean of the College of Arts Participates in an International Scientific Workshop

On March 13, 2025, the Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm Al-Deen Enja, participated in the virtual international scientific workshop titled "International Women's Day: Women with Disabilities as Leaders in the Struggle for Equality and Social Inclusion."

In his speech during the workshop, the Dean emphasized that Iraqi society has witnessed significant developments in the educational, cultural, political, and social status of women with disabilities, especially in terms of amendments to legislation ensuring their rights and reducing violence against them.

He also pointed out the importance of supporting community movements on this issue, represented by women's organizations, political, and human rights movements, which aim to deepen the social and cultural transformations regarding the rights of women with disabilities. Furthermore, these efforts are meant to enhance their status and empower them as active contributors to economic development, social progress, and in taking on multiple roles, thus fostering a sense of their importance and value within society.
