The President of Iraq Receives Delegation from the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Arts and Languages

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with the delegation from the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Arts and Languages at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, with the participation of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al_Deen Enja.

During the meeting, the educational and cultural situation in Iraq was discussed, along with ways to improve it. The President emphasized the crucial role of universities in spreading culture, raising awareness, and preparing the younger generations armed with science and knowledge. He also highlighted the reputation of Iraqi academic institutions and their leadership at the Arab and international levels.

The President listened to explanations provided by the deans about the teaching methods used at their universities, as well as their future plans to improve the educational level. They also discussed the needs required to develop infrastructure, modernize, and enhance lecture halls.

In turn, the delegation members expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the President’s guidance and his attention to improving the cultural and educational landscape. They affirmed their commitment to exerting efforts to achieve scientific excellence and elevate the global ranking of their universities.
