The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al_Deen Enja, participated in the regular meeting held by the Committee of Deans of Arts and Languages at Iraqi universities, which was hosted at Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq University on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
The meeting, which was attended by the University President and Deans of Arts from various Iraqi universities, discussed several important issues, particularly those related to the educational and pedagogical process and ways to enhance it.
The meeting concluded with several resolutions, which include:
- Forming committees to assess the academic and scientific status for the academic year 2024-2025.
- Establishing committees for intellectual follow-up and preparing educational, training programs, and workshops to combat extremism, Takfirism, and terrorism.
- Contributing to solving the problems of children with autism and providing appropriate treatment.
- Defining job descriptions in the departments of College of Arts.
- Approving Master’s and PhD programs for various specialties and adopting new curriculum books.
- Adding topics to some study programs and teaching them.
- Focusing on activities related to the national strategy and plan for combating human trafficking.
- Discussing proposals aimed at improving the scientific and academic reality of the College of Arts to encourage and motivate students to study there.
At the end of the session, the University President presented letters of thanks and appreciation to the deans, recognizing their efforts.
