Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Dr. Issam Hadi Mohammed, the College of Administration and Economics organized an awareness seminar titled "Underage Marriage: Legal and Social Consequences," as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division in cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit.
The seminar highlighted the dangers of underage marriage and its legal, social, and psychological repercussions on the girl, the family, and society. It also explained the position of national legislation and international agreements, and the importance of community awareness in limiting this phenomenon and protecting the rights of women and children.
The seminar witnessed a wide attendance of faculty members, staff, and students. Lectures were presented by Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Abboud and Ms. Zeina Samir, who emphasized the need for concerted legal and social efforts to address this societal issue.

This seminar is part of the awareness activities carried out by the College of Administration and Economics in support of women's empowerment and the promotion of community awareness.
