Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Dr. Essam Hadi Mohammed, the College organized an awareness seminar titled (Cyber Extortion and its Psychological and Social Impacts on Students), as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit.


The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students. It addressed key themes highlighting the dangers of cyber extortion and its psychological and social repercussions on students, as well as outlining prevention methods and correct mechanisms for dealing with such cases.


The seminar was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nemat, Director of the Community Police in Kirkuk.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Shaimaa Salem managed the seminar sessions, emphasizing the importance of awareness and spreading the culture of safe technology use, while enhancing digital literacy within the university environment.




At the conclusion of the seminar, the Dean of the College, Dr. Essam Hadi Mohammed, affirmed the deanship's commitment to supporting awareness and guidance activities that contribute to protecting students and fostering a safe and stable university environment.
