The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kirkuk organized a workshop titled:
“Measuring Efficiency Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA),”
presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd, with the participation of several faculty members.
The workshop covered the concept of efficiency and its types, the mechanism of using the DEA technique to evaluate the performance of production and service units, in addition to explaining the statistical models used in this method and how to analyze data and extract results using specialized software.
The presenter also reviewed the main practical applications of frontier analysis, providing real-life examples that help attendees understand how to measure the efficiency of institutions and compare their performance according to precise scientific standards.
The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ skills in using modern methods to measure efficiency and support their ability to make decisions based on data analysis results, contributing to improving institutional performance and achieving the highest levels of effectiveness.
