The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kirkuk, Department of Economics, organized a workshop entitled “Keywords and Their Impact on Retrieving Digital Sources,” presented by Lecturer Zina Nour El-Din Haidar, on Sunday, 30/11/2025.
The workshop aimed to highlight the pivotal role of keywords in facilitating access to information within databases and digital sources, as well as improving the quality of search results for researchers and students. It also provided an extensive explanation of search engine optimization (SEO) concepts, mechanisms for selecting appropriate keywords, and ways to use them in organizing digital content to enhance research effectiveness in the academic environment.
The workshop witnessed notable interaction from participants through discussions and inquiries focusing on the application of keywords in research projects and methods to develop students’ digital research skills.
