Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Essam Hadi Mohammed, the College of Administration and Economics organized a training workshop titled “Virtual Simulation of Building Evacuation,” aiming to enhance individuals' readiness to handle emergencies, such as fires, earthquakes, or any hazards requiring a swift and safe evacuation of the building.

The workshop included a practical explanation of how to execute an evacuation plan using virtual simulation techniques, allowing participants to experience realistic scenarios without exposure to actual danger. Participants also learned about emergency exits, proper behavior during an evacuation, and the mechanism for assisting others, particularly the elderly and individuals with special needs.

The workshop focused on the distribution of roles within the emergency team, such as coordinators and supervisors, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to approved occupational safety guidelines, as it serves as an effective means to test evacuation plans and identify their strengths and weaknesses.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ziad Bakr Khidr and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Saeed. It contributed to raising the level of awareness and preparedness among participants to handle emergencies efficiently and calmly, thereby helping to minimize risks and protect lives.
