Anti-corruption strategy in government institutions

Within the scientific activities carried out by the Division of Continuing Education/College of Education for Girls at Kirkuk University and under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri, the Division of Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Legal Affairs Division and in coordination with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in our college, held a scientific symposium entitled (Strategy to combat corruption in government institutions). The symposium was attended by M.M. Wejdan Raysan, head of the Legal Division, and A.M.D. Salma Hussein, head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, and A.M. Sanaa Muhammad, representative of the women’s empowerment unit at the college

The symposium addressed the definition of the concept of corruption and its types, whether in terms of size or in terms of spread, and the reasons for its occurrence, as it is one of the thorny issues in any society. Societies have become aware of the seriousness of this problem and have enacted regulations and laws in order to combat it. Using various strategies to combat corruption is one of the ways In terms of enacting regulations, laws and regulations, activating the supervisory role of legislative bodies and supervisory bodies, using technology to confront corruption, and activating penalties for corruption operations as one of the important means of combating corruption. In addition, the most important aspects used in strategies to combat administrative and financial corruption in government institutions were addressed, which is focusing on choosing Individuals through merit and competence, as well as the political will to combat corruption, and the application of the technological and information strategy is through focusing on the use of television cameras in surveillance and the use of electronic fingerprinting, which are among the things that must be taken into consideration, in addition to knowing the systematic treatments to combat corruption and protect society from it.
