The College of Education for Women was established as an extension of the College of Education-Hawija on September 25, 2014, which consisted of two departments: History and Life Sciences Departments.
The Arabic Language Department was opened in the academic year 2016–2017 and then followed by the Physics Department in the academic year 2017–2018, after which the college’s name was changed from (College of Education-Hawiaj) to (College of Education for Women)...

The College seeks to create professional scientific cadres, and looks forward to graduating qualified female teachers scientifically and educationally and to create an educational generation capable of building and reforming society in acceptable, scientific and educational fields, as well as to prepare researchers capable of contributing effectively in writing theoretical and applied research that supports the path of the scientific and educational movement in proportion to the university's role in developing the capabilities of society and its institutions, and keeps pace with developments and changes taking place in the world....
