The College of Education for Women was established as an extension of the College of Education-Hawija on September 25, 2014, which consisted of two departments: History and Life Sciences Departments.
The Arabic Language Department was opened in the academic year 2016–2017 and then followed by the Physics Department in the academic year 2017–2018, after which the college’s name was changed from (College of Education-Hawiaj) to (College of Education for Women)...

The college is located in the Kirkuk city (Iraq), on Baghdad Road, opposite the Kirkuk Health Presidency (formerly the location of the University Presidency)
