About the college
The College of education for girls was established as an extension of the College of Education / Hawija in 25/ 9 /2014 in the Departments of history and life sciences. The Department of Arabic language was opened for the academic year 2016-2017 and then followed by the Department of physics in the academic year 2017-2018, after which the name of the college was changed from (College of Education/ Hawija) to (College of education for girls) in 1444 Ah / 2022 ad, to be attended by students with a high school diploma, as the dean of the college A.Dr.Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed Al-Jubouri, where he puts all the scientific, educational and administrative energies in order to enable the college to perform its scientific and educational role in the direction of achieving its goals in preparing teaching staff for secondary education and preparing students the optimal preparation to contribute to the leadership of the new Iraqi society and what the principles dictate in the creation of God and his homeland, the creative innovator, able to face the challenges of the era no matter how great, armed with science and knowledge, adhering to the lofty Islamic values and their principled applications consciously and consciously in the affairs of all life.
Vision, mission and objectives
Vision :
The College seeks to create professional scientific cadres, and is looking forward to graduating scientifically and pedagogically qualified female teachers, and to creating an educational generation capable of building and reforming society in socially acceptable scientific and educational fields, as well as preparing researchers capable of contributing effectively in writing theoretical and applied research that supports the course of the scientific and educational movement in proportion to the role of and the changes taking place in the world .
The message :
Providing the best teachers and researchers capable of creativity in various branches of knowledge and then contributing seriously and effectively to meeting the needs of educational institutions in an appropriate manner and keeping pace with the development of knowledge in the scientific, educational and technical fields, and then delivering a message to society that science is the basis of life and that graduates in the faculties of education are at the forefront of spreading this science and the real reform of society .
Objectives :
1-preparing specialized teaching cadres and qualifying them to provide middle and middle schools with their needs of those cadres.
2-developing the educational process and encouraging research and self-learning for students to fulfill their duties to the fullest.
3-updating the educational programs at the college, providing educational qualification for the university teacher, and contributing to the development of various aspects of the educational system in Iraq.
4-spreading the spirit of scientific research and working to develop it in a way that contributes to serving the Iraqi society.
5-interaction with official and unofficial community institutions through holding conferences, seminars, training courses and providing consultations in proportion to the role of the University in the development of knowledge and achieving creativity.
6-providing educational and specialized consultations to the state departments and the private and joint sectors .
7-building the scientific and educational personality of female graduates in order to enable them to interact educationally and have a positive impact with their students and society.
Future college plans
1-opening new departments as departments: Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Quranic Sciences, and other scientific and humanitarian departments .
2-seeking to establish graduate studies in the departments affiliated to the college.
3-work on the development of a special scientific journal of the College of education for girls, according to the competence of the Departments of the college .
